pdfgrep software package provides search in pdf files for strings matching a regular expression, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pdfgrep
pdfgrep is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pdfgrep package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pdfgrep *
You will get with pdfgrep package name, version, architecture and description in a table
